Proctor boys hockey is on a roll. The Rails beat Eveleth-Gilbert 4-1 at home and Princeton 3-2 on the road in back to back games on Mon., Dec.17, and Tues., Dec. 18. Mickey O’Connor and Kevin Jahr starred for the Rails. O’Connor had a goal and two assists against the Golden Bears and one goal against the Tigers. Jahr recorded 2 goals at Princeton and had two assists against E-G. Others earning points against E-G were Matt Rossiter, Jordie Carlson, and Lucas McCarthy (goals) and McCarthy and Adam LaFontaine (assists; LaFontaine twice). Against the Tigers, Jon Macey and Frank Hanson had assists. Derek Robinson had saves of 28 against E-G and 18 to help cage the Tigers.
