Justice not boring says Emily Haala
This week’s First National Bank of Proctor Academic All Star Emily Haala states American Justice as her favorite class this school year.
The class is taught by Mr. N. Johnson, who comments, “Emily does good work and it is done on time. She is also involved in school activities. Her future is very bright.”
“The class teaches me many things about crime and the justice system that I didn’t know before,” explains Emily. “The material is easy to learn and the class isn’t boring like other classes I have had.”
Emily plans to attend UWS or UMD and major in Criminal Justice or Sports Medicine. She would like to graduate with a career that she will enjoy.
Emily is in her third year playing varsity for the Mirage hockey team. She also plays AYSA soccer, and was manager for the boys soccer team during the 2006 season.
She is also part of the Drama Club at PHS.
Emily likes to travel, participate in outdoor activities, hang out with friends, and spend time with her family.
Her most memorable moment as a student at PHS is, “Hanging out with all of my friends and being able to laugh and joke around and have fun in my last year of high school.”
“Emily is the last of our four children to graduate from Proctor High School,” remark her parents Dorie and Doug Haala of Proctor. “She is a caring and lovable person. Her sense of humor is an added plus. We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to watching her continued success and to supporting her future goals and dreams, wherever they lead her.”
