Grand Lake buys 16 acres
Grand Lake Township will buy nearly 16 acres of State tax-forfeited land from St. Louis County for $7,696.08.
The County Board approved the sale at its meeting Tuesday.
The two parcels totaling 15.83 acres were pulled from the tax-forfeited land sale at the request of the Town Supervisors. The Board asked the parcels be withheld so they could acquire them for drainage
Both parcels had been placed up for auction at the request of private buyers.
The Town board has until July 22, 2008 to purchase the property or it will be offered for sale at a public auction.
