Proctor City Wide Garage Sale deadline Friday
The deadline to register for the 11th Annual Community Wide Garage Sale Day is tomorrow, Fri., May 9. The Mega Sale is set for Sat., May 17.
The event is open to all area residents who wish to participate by having a garage, yard, or rummage sale that day. People who don’t have a garage needn’t worry. Front yards, back yards, basements, porches or any place that merchandise can be displayed and customers can congregate is okay.
To be included in this year’s event, submit a garage sale ad of up to six lines to the Proctor Journal by Friday.
The ad should include the exact address and brief directions to your sale location, using landmarks for out-of-towners.
You are encouraged to use the maximum number of lines to describe items at your sale (a line averages four or five words).
Sale hours will be advertised as 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you wish to have different hours or additional days, make note of that in your ad.
The sale will get maximum exposure with a map in the Proctor Journal of all sale locations. The Journal will place ads in area newspapers with a total circulation of 250,000.
