Weihsmann book signing May 15

Proctor Journal

Proctor resident Anne Weihsmann has authored a book titled, “The Mistake Has a Name.” A book signing will be held at The Coffee Den in Proctor on Thursday, May 15, 6 to 8 p.m.

The book was inspired by a true story about eight-year-old Julie, an impoverished girl who is convinced that her world would be complete with a life-sized doll and an Easy-Bake Oven. The very different reality of her childhood involves a self-absorbed mother, an alcoholic father, harsh teachers, loneliness and betrayal.

Through the years, Julie finds a cushion for her emotional falls through significant women who reflect the goodness of God. As she is drawn into a search for a heavenly Father, Julie encounters shocking revelation about her earthly dad.
