Proctor woman wins Iron Girl Lake Las Vegas Triathlon division

A Proctor woman won the Iron Girl Lake Las Vegas Triathlon - sprint distance division in Las Vegas, NV.

Jeanne Fleck, 43, was first among some 700-plus amateur competitors from 34 states and four countries

Fleck hit the sprint distance amateur race finish line in 1:03:46, a comfortable one minute and 21 seconds in front of runner-up Kim Jefferson, 47, of Henderson, Nevada.

The Aflac Iron Girl Lake Las Vegas Triathlon is the first all-women's triathlon to be nationally televised on NBC. The event will air on July 26, 2008, from 2:30 -3:30 p.m. CST. The telecast will showcase a highly competitive professional field, as well as stories of inspirational age-group females.
