RN career choice for Jenna Johnson

Proctor Journal

This week’s First National Bank of Proctor Academic All Star is Jenna Johnson.

Jenna’s favorite class this year is Proctorian, instructed by Mrs. Peterson.

“Proctorian is a class where students write, design, and produce the yearbook,” she explains. “Students work inside and outside the regular school day and are responsible for all aspects of pre-press production, marketing and advertising sales. Proctorian teaches responsibility and independence.”

Jenna plans to attend Lake Superior College and major in Nursing.

Her career plan is to work for St. Luke’s as a Registered Nurse.

Lynn Peterson, Proctorian instructor, remarks, “Jenna has been a valuable Proctorian staffer. She tackles each task with zeal, and is never satisfied with mediocrity. Throughout the year, she has put in countless after school hours to ensure deadlines are met. We are fortunate to have her on our staff.”

Jenna has volunteered at St. Luke’s Hospital during the summers of 2003, 2004 and 2006. She was on the Prom Committee in 2006 and the Sno-Ball Committee in 2007.

In grade 9 she was a member of danceline, and also played volleyball.

Outside of school Jenna’s special interest is taking care of animals. She is trying to get a job at a veterinarian clinic this summer.

Her parents are Glen and Laura Johnson of Proctor. “Jenna is very self disciplined,” remarks her mom. “She knows what she wants and is willing to work for it.”

Her dad adds, “She is very determined and responsible and a wonderful daughter.”
