Stephen Anderson honored


Proctor Journal

Stephen W. Anderson, Deputy City Clerk of the City of Proctor, has been awarded the prestigious designation of “Certified Municipal Clerk” (CMC) from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC) for achieving its high educational, experience and service requirements.

Anderson has been employed with the City of Proctor since November 1997, where he serves in the position of Deputy City Clerk.

He attained his designation as Certified Municipal Clerk through completion of the IIMC-approved Municipal Clerks Institute Program conducted by the Department of Professional Development and Conference Services, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. This program provides over 100 student/instructor contact hours of in-depth courses in managerial and leadership skills, social and interpersonal concerns, and technical training needed to deal with changes taking place in government today.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Minnesota, Duluth.

Active in professional affiliations, he attends Seminars and Conferences offered through the Municipal Clerks and Finance Officers Association of Minnesota. He is a member of the Municipal Clerks Institute Advisory Council, St. Louis County Community Development Block Grant Advisory Council, and Proctor Chamber of Commerce.

Anderson has been a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks since October 1997. He joins 107 active Municipal Clerks from the State of Minnesota who currently hold the designation of “Certified Municipal Clerk”.
