Proctor-Hermantown-Marshall’s Julia Gilbert led Team Ice to a 5-1 victory over team Fire in the Northern Minnesota All-Star girls hockey game held at Cloquet on Mar. 3. The Mirage junior forward scored a goal and added 2 assists. Two of Gilbert’s Ice teammates each had a goal and an assist.

Four other Mirage players were chosen to the All-Star Game. Named to the Team Fire squad were senior forwards Sam Downey and Jami Weiss. Downey did not play due to illness. Juniors Lexi Eliason and Hannah Buchite were Fire defenders. Buchite won the speed skating event in the pre-game skills competition. Mike Guzzo and Mike Hoff, both of the Silver Bay Area, were Team Ice co-coaches Dick Bartholdi, of Cloquet-Esko-Carlton, was Team Fire coach.
