Habermann plans career in physical therapy

Proctor Journal

This week's First National Bank of Proctor Academic All-Star is Charlie Habermann.

Charlie plans to attend the College of St. Scholastica and major in physical therapy. He plans to use his high school and college education to get a good-paying job.

Habermann’s favorite classes this year are Art Seminar with Barb Steen and Journalism with Nathan Johnson. He says, “I enjoy both of these classes because they are a combination of both hard work and fun. I look forward to going to Art and Journalism each day. When I do work in these classes, it does not feel like work because both Mrs. Steen and Mr. Johnson make the work fun.”

Charlie is a member of NHS, Symponic Band and Faith Baptist Church Youth Group. He is active in baseball, basketball and cross-country running. He plays in Esko’s Summer Basketball League and plans to play Legion Baseball this summer. Charlie likes all types of sports, hanging out with friends and watching TV.

“I enjoy being with my friends. We always find humor in things and laughing never gets old.”

Ms. Steen write, “Charlie has an amazing talent, and it is matched only by his work ethic. Charlie is one of the nicest and kindest young men that I have ever had the honor of having in class. He also has a killer sense of humor and makes me laugh on a daily basis. Charlie Habermann will do great things in life and I will miss him tremendously next year.”

Parents Ed and Tracy Habermann write, “Charlie is a happy name and that is what Charlie is – one happy guy. We are so thrilled with the young man God is molding you into. You have proven that honesty, respect and hard work are great building blocks in this life. Charlie, we leave you with this verse as you travel down life’s path: ‘But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you learned them, and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus’ -2 Timothy 14,15. We love you, Appleface,” Mom and Dad.
