A Proctor/Hermantown/Marshall School girls hockey team member has been named as

Let’s Play Hockey top 10 candidates for the 2010 Ms. Hockey Award.

Julia Gilbert, a forward, will know Feb. 18 if she will be one of the top five finalists for

the Ms. Hockey Award.

Let’s Play Hockey will announce the winner at the the Ms. Hockey Awards Banquet on

Sunday, Feb. 28, at 11:30 a.m., at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

Gilbert has not announced which college she will attend. All finalists have been bound

to the textbooks for the past several years as they check in with a cumulative grade-

point average of 3.78.

Nine of the 10 players named as finalists are committed to a Division I school for next

season, including three in the WCHA and two in the Ivy League.
