This week’s First National Bank of Proctor Academic All-Star is Jordan Wick. Jordan is the daughter of Brian and Misty Wick of Proctor.

Jordan plans to attend St. Scholastica for Nursing and then become a Nurse Practitioner. She hopes to pursue a Marketing Management minor. Her goals are to graduate and begin a career in medicine, find a loving husband, have her own house and children, and hopefully, travel places.

Health Occupations with Ms. Slattengren is Jordan’s favorite class. She says, “This class is very hands-on. We practice a lot of skills. We recently started our clinicals at Viewcrest Nursing Home. It is also my favorite because our teacher is a pleasure to be around. Through this class, I have learned a lot. After I am done, I will have my Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credentials.”

Jordan is active in DECA, Student Senate, Spanish Club and Link Crew. She has been involved in basketball, softball and DECA. She lists shopping, snow-mobiling, hanging out with friends, going to the beach, working, spending time with family, playing and watching sports as her hobbies and interests.

Last year’s “Pay It Forward” project for DECA counts as one of her most memorable moments as a PHS student. Jordan comments, “My project took 2nd place at the State level, which advanced us to the International DECA Conference in Anaheim, California.”

Mr. Gilderman, Jordan’s Economics teacher, writes, “Jordan is a very conscientious student. She has a sincere desire to learn as much as she can in every class. Her thirst for knowledge will pay off as she enters college. Jordan is a leader by example. She is the type of student who makes the class better for everyone because of the questions she asks.”

Jordan’s parents write, “We’re very proud and honored to watch our daughter work and strive so hard on her grades and job. We’re proud of her accomplishments and the wonderful young lady she has become.”
