Clara A. (Schmidt) Robinson, Clara A. (Schmidt) Robinson, who graduated from Proctor high school, died, Sat., Aug. 30, 2003. She was 89.

The Burnett, Minn. resident was born in Duluth and graduated from Duluth State Teacher?s College. She taught in schools at Verdon, Tomahawk Lumber Camp, Libby and Cedar Valley in northern Minnesota before going to St. Paul?s Lutheran School in Truman, Minn., where she taught from 1944 until 1982. She was named teacher of the year in Truman in 1969. Since retiring, she has lived in Burnett.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Olga Robinson of Duluth, five nieces, six great nephews and four great nieces.

Burial was in Sunrise Memorial Park.

Robert C. Paulson, A memorial service for Robert C. Paulson will take place Sat., Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at the Johnson Mortuary Chapel in Duluth. Mr. Paulson, formerly of Lindahl Rd. in Proctor, died Saturday evening Aug. 30 in Duluth. He was 89.

Bob was born March 31, 1914, lived most of his life in this area, and was variously employed at the Coolerator Plant, Naegle Signs, Pierson Paint Co., Adolph Lumber Co., and as a self-employed carpenter and cabinet maker. On April 16, 1938, he married Myrtle Taraldsen. They resided in Calif. for a short time before returning to the Duluth area and taking up residence in the home that Bob built on the Lindahl Rd. They had four children. During WW II, Bob served with the U.S. Army in the Aleutian Islands. Myrtle passed away in 1968. In July 1972, Bob married Matilda Brandenhoff and they made their home in Midway Township. Matilda passed away in 2002, and Bob was a patient of Nopeming Nursing Center and then Benedictine Health Center until his death.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Alice (Pierson) Paulson, and his son Rick Paulson, who passed away in 1981.

He is survived by his children Roberta Ann (Bruce) Johanson of Mich., Sandra Lynn Peterson of Ariz., and Steven (Brenda) Paulson of Canyon, Minn., two granddaughters, a grandson, a great-granddaughter, his sister June Frey of Duluth, stepson Gerald Brandenhoff of Blooming-ton, Minn., stepdaughters Paula Lundberg (David) of Calif., and Cindy Brandenhoff of St. Paul, and many nieces and nephews.

At the request of the deceased, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
