Charles W. ‘Chuck’ Bresser, Charles W. ‘Chuck’ Bresser, of Midway Township, died Aug. 21, 2005 in St. Luke’s Hospice. He was 60.

He was born in Boulder, Colo., on June 12, 1945. Chuck was a Viet Nam era Air Force veteran serving in Thailand. He married Kathy Lorentzson in Duluth on May 27, 1967. He had worked in the moving industry with Bekins and United Van Lines and most recently worked as claims manager with Northway Carriers in Superior. Chuck was an active member of Elim Lutheran Church and volunteered with Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

He was preceded in death by his father; step-father; sister; and nephew Duane Reese.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy; son, Tim (Missy) Bresser; daughter, Kaye (Gary Peterson) Bresser; his mother, Marian Carson; grandchildren, Tyler, Jeremy, Courtney, Kayla and Austin; three stepbrothers; and one stepsister.

The funeral service was held Wednesday in Elim Lutheran. Burial at Sunrise Memorial Park.

Patricia Ann Ankarlo, Hollie Provost (Carl) of Proctor is mourning the death of her mother Patricia Ann Ankarlo. She died Monday Aug. 15, 2005, two days after her 65th birthday, during a house fire in her Hermantown, Minn., home.

She is also survived by her husband, David Edward Ankarlo who has been by her side for 54 years; her six children, Coyesca Vasquez (Paul), Dawn Ankarlo Blackman, David James Magnus Ankarlo, Annayea Kovacevich (James), Ronda Ankarlo; 14 grandchildren, Sabrina and Logan Vasquez; Melanie LaBlank, Sean Cole, Dave, Steven and Robbie Ankarlo; Jimmy, Zachary and Krista Kovacevich, Jaquelin, Krystalena, Carl III and Benjamin Provost; and two great grandchildren, Patricia and Rain LaBlank.

Services were held Monday in Gethsemane Covenant Church.
