William Kuehn, William Kuehn, who was born in Proctor, passed away June 13, 2008. He was 75.

The Duluth resident was born on March 26, 1933 to Henry and Euphemia Kuehn. Bill went to Central High School. He graduated from Salter School with a certificate in electric motor repair. He was a longtime employee of Benson Electric Co. in Superior. Bill spent a lot of time on the Great Lakes Ore boats.

Bill is preceded in death by his first wife, Gail (Peterson); second wife, Sharon (Bailey); brothers, Roy Kuehn and Raymond Kuehn.

He is survived by his children, Tina (Larry) Spaniol, Kelley Lees, Rory (Christina Wagner) Kuehn, Gary Kuehn, and Kurt (Annie) Kuehn; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Margie) Kuehn; sister-in-law, Roberta Kuehn; and many nieces and nephews.

John A. Anderson, Judy Anderson, vice president of First National Bank of Proctor is mourning the death of her husband, John A. Anderson. He passed away Thursday June 19, 2008 in St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by family. He was 63.

The Duluth resident was born in Georgia on April 3, 1945 to Iver and Vivian Anderson. On March 27, 1965 he married Judy Warner in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Duluth. John served in the Army National Guard from 1966-1975. He was employed with various Duluth business including Zalk Joseph and Barko Hydraulics as a welder, and later Marine Iron. John had been a former part owner of Allied Taxi. He was currently employed with Monson Trucking. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. He enjoyed woodworking. His grandchildren, who were his pride and joy, have several of his handmade pieces.

He is preceded in death by his father, Iver.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Judy; two daughters, Susan (Jim) Samberg of Hermantown and Cheryl (Steve) Reynolds of Duluth; four grandchildren, Andrew and Allison Samberg and Alexis and Adam Reynolds; his mother, Vivian; two brothers, Iver (Joyce) Anderson and Karl (Kathy) Anderson; three sisters, Marlene (Wes) Berntson, Marilyn (Gordon) Hansen and Vivian (Bernie) Soukup.

A Funeral service was held Tuesday June 24, 2008 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Burial was at Oneota Cemetery.

Ann Jean Dallman, Ann Jean Dallman, longtime resident of Saginaw, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 21, 2008, at the Cloquet Hospital. She was 81.

She was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Duluth, to Charles and Edith Dahl. Ann was a graduate of Alborn High School. On May 12, 1948 Ann married Arthur Dallman.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur on May 27, 2000; an infant daughter; two brothers, Harry and Clifford.

She is survived by her children, Randall Dallman and Jean (Henry Linder) Dallman, both of Saginaw; a grandson, Fritz; and her sister Ruth Amborn, of Carlton.

No service was held at this time at the family’s request.

Doris A. O’Connell, Duane King of Proctor is saddened by the loss of his mother Doris A. O’Connell of Orr. She passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at the Edgewood Vista Assisted Living Facility in Virginia at the age of 84.

She is survived by four daughters, Carolann (Robert) Dostal of Hibbing, Janet (Andrew) Autio of Virginia, Cathy (Edward) Chavers of Orr and Linda (Daniel) Manick of Cook; another brother, William “Bill’’ (Zoe) King of Orr; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday in Calvary Lutheran Church in Orr.

Dennis Edward Poldoski, Beatrice Poldoski of Proctor is mourning the death of her son, Dennis Edward Poldoski, of Carlton. He died Sunday, June 29, 2008 in St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth at the age of 54.

He was born March 5, 1954 in Duluth to John “”Joe’’ and Beatrice Poldoski. He graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1972. Dennis married Maxine Balke on Aug. 16, 1980 in Duluth. He worked for Minnesota Power in the control room and as a millwright at the Thomson Hydro Plant. He was a member of the IBEW Union. Dennis enjoyed hunting, camping, and boating.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Joe Poldoski.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine of Carlton; two daughters, Lora Poldoski and Leah Poldoski both of Minneapolis; granddaughter, Mataya Pavlich of Minneapolis; brother, John (Janet) Poldoski of Duluth; sister, Sheryl (Tim) Pirkola of Duluth; and his mother-in-law, Minerva Balke of Virginia.

Visitation will be from Noon until the 1 p.m. Memorial Service Thursday, July 3, 2008 in Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th St. in Cloquet. A time of lunch and fellowship will follow in the Fireside Room of the funeral home.
