Rose Bijold, Services were held early in the week for Rose Bijold of Proctor. She died Fri., Mar. 4, 2005 at Lakeshore Lutheran Home. She was 79.
She was born in Hibbing, Minn. to Arthur and Marie Lantman. Rose was a graduate of Hibbing High School. On Oct. 29, 1949 she married Clifford James Bijold. Rose was a homemaker and member of St. Rose Catholic Church.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford in 1977 and son Richard in 1989, brothers Charlie and Florent Lantman and a sister Leona McDonald.
She is survived by her children Cheryl (Tim Rainaldo) Bijold and Jeff Timm-Bijold, both of Duluth, Cindy Bijold of Savage, Jean (Donald) Dotterwick of Superior, seven grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, and her sisters Fran Bonacci, Hibbing and Anne (Bill) Lopac, Mountain Iron.
Burial was at Oneota Cemetery.
Ruth Marie Hessen Coyer, Ruth Marie Hessen Coyer, who was born in Proctor, passed away peacefully Tues., Feb. 22, 2005 at the Glory Avondale Adult Family Home in Redmond, Wash. She was 88.
She graduated from Denfeld High School in Duluth, Minn. She married Burnell V. Coyer in 1938. Burnell’s career with the Northern Pacific Railroad had them moving and living in several cities between Duluth and Spokane Wash., which were serviced by the Railroad.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, and brothers Hjalmer and Raymond Hessen.
She is survived by her brother Carl Hessen, son Gary, daughter Marie and daughter-in-law Barbara, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were held in Seattle, Wash.
Norman H. Louison, Pam (Greg) Allan of Proctor is mourning the death of her father Norman H. Louison. The Duluth resident died Tues., Mar. 1, 2005, at St. Mary’s Medical Center Hospice. He was 91.
He was born in Canada. He and his parents then moved to Wright, Minn. In the 1950’s, Norman moved to Duluth. He worked for Northern Pacific Railroad and had also served as Deputy Sheriff in Wright. Norman attended Grace Lutheran Church in Wright and also Christ The King Lutheran Church in Duluth.
Norman was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Alonzo and Clarence, sister Larraine, grandson Randal Leskinen and a very special son-in-law, Harley Surratt.
He is also survived by children Norma Surratt of Tenn., Barb (Jerry) Leskinen of Cloquet, Gerald Louison of Ga. and Sherrel Postal of Duluth, 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and his sister Bernice Comstock of Minneapolis.
Burial will be at Wright, Minn.
